Decorating the side walls of the Grand Lobby are stylized impressions of peacocks, a frequent subject for art.  Along the walls are wood-carved chairs, tables and chests on which an authentic bronze statue of the warrior Myrmillo by Guillemin (1872) adorn the black marbel top of the beautifully carved chest.

The walls of the Grand Lobby are Etruscan gold painted stucco with highlights of blues and greens and reds.  The plush carpeting has red background with blue diamonds on beige diamonds for a pattern.  It replaced the original carpet that was a deep crimson with a one-inch thick pile over a one and one-fourth inch pad. Loew's probably replaced it following the Second World War.
