The CMA offers Young Artists Studio Classes throughout the year, with most courses beginning in late-January, late-April/early-May, and late-September. With courses focused on a wide range of media and topics, there’s sure to be a class to your young artist’s imagination going!

ENROLLMENT
To ensure your child’s class is running and to make his/her experience the best it can be, each class must meet its minimum enrollment level of six (6) students by its registration date. Be sure to register early to reserve your place and make your class a success!
FEES
Class fees are due at the time of registration. You may mail in a check or credit card number with the registration form, stop in to the office and pay with cash, check, Visa, or Mastercard, or call 330-453-7666 with your credit card number. We do not accept Discover or American Express.

Course instructors are subject to change without notice.
WITHDRAWAL/
REFUND POLICY
To withdraw from a class and receive a full refund, you must contact the CMA (330-453-7666) by the registration deadline. Full refunds for students withdrawing from a class after the registration deadline will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

MATERIALS
Materials are included in all Young Artists class fees.
CANCELATIONS
If the minimum enrollment requirement is not met, the class will be cancelled. Registrants will be notified if the class is canceled 48 hours before the scheduled starting date and receive a full refund.
In case of inclement weather, please listen to WHBC 1480 AM or Mix 94.1 FM for notifications of cancellations. Arrangements will be made for make-up classes at the end of the session.

Parents come join your little artists in one or both of these art sessions. You join in, participate and assist your child in learning about artists and the world of art. A direct hands-on-approach experimenting with a variety of art materials will help your little artist get started in the world of art. Each session will feature different projects. Everyone loves to hear a story! Each week students will listen to a story and then create their own masterpieces inspired by the words. Projects will focus on the basic elements of art (color, line, shape) and a variety of materials will be used. Each term features new projects, so repeat students are welcome!
Rainbow Magic

Learn about one of the key elements of art color! Hot, cold, vibrant and muddy are just a few terms we’ll learn about as we look and try our hands at using color in different media to create artwork that will make rainbows smile. Each term features new projects, so repeat students are welcome!

The Magic of Ancient Egypt

Have you ever wanted to travel back in time? Come explore and learn about the fascinating art and culture of Ancient Egypt! Students will have the chance to write coded messages with hieroglyphs, make drawings like the Ancient Egyptians, and more!

Come explore the endless creativity of clay in this fun and challenging class. Lean the basic techniques and make functional, decorative, and sculptural pieces that captivate the imagination. Limit of 8 students.

Besides working with the basics in drawing and painting, explore other media in art to express your personality. Experiment with collage, assemblage, three-dimensional forms, and mask-making.

Interested in learning how to create 3-D art? Then this class is for you! Students will create sculptures in three different media, including paper maché, junk, and clay over a wire frame.

Flashback to a major 1965 art event, when Time Magazine coined the phrase "Optical Art" (or "Op Art") to describe the work in an exhibition entitled "The Responsive Eye.” Op Art often appears to be moving or breathing due to its precise composition and color. In this workshop, students will explore the work in our gallery from the artist Julian Stanczak and create op art compositions of their own. Members: $12, Non-Members: $15

This workshop will pick a craft or story to feature each era in time. Travel back with us and share a moment in the past.
