Why is My Membership Important?

The Canton Museum of Art has been a part of the community for over sixty-seven years, and thousands of people have supported the Museum by becoming members.

This support has made it possible for the Museum to present many wonderful exhibits and to build our Permanent Collection into one of the jewels of northeast Ohio.

We have additionally provided an outlet for the creative spirit of our community through art classes and workshops.

Just as important as the exhibits and art classes, is the impact the Museum makes on the community through its education and outreach programs. Did you know that over 10,000 young people participate in Museum art programs every year? Many come to the Museum for tours, but over 6,000 experience art through outreach programs in underserved schools, community centers and other locations. These programs contribute to community richness while at the same time improving critical perception and reasoning abilities.
