Spam! You have probably heard the word many times associated with something evil and sinister. Spam is unwanted e-mail. You could receive some e-mail spam in your Inbox that you never requested. You could receive e-mail spam from someone you don't even know. Some "Spammers" send out 1000's upon 1000's of emails as a type of free advertising. Some users receive 10-100 or even more of these emails a day with subjects ranging from pyramid, get rich quick schemes to howto lose weight. Some of these offers are fraudulent. The vast majority of spam that is received is sent without the actual email address in the email header. This makes it somewhat easy to "filter". Filtering is an option that creates rules for the messages coming into your Inbox. Using these rules you can filter, or reduce the amount of spam that ends up in you're mailbox. Creating the following rules you can have all mail you receive transferred into a spam folder that you create, then filter out the mail that is addressed to you and move that into your mail folder. Easy step by step instructions are as followed below.
